Despite being the largest bus terminus in Bhutan, it falls short on some aspects, particularly in embracing the digitization and latest technology. It needs to install illuminated exit signs too inside the building and draw emergency evacuation maps and put up somewhere visible. It further needs to create a space for parking and traveling (in the bus) for the disabled. The ATM mostly remains ‘cash out’ mode; need to fix this too. It will be a lot convenient for the commuters/passengers if there is free WiFi and Help Desk so that they can reach out for them in the event of emergencies. And lastly, I still do not understand why the terminus does not have its own wash rooms. On the positive side, it has a luggage room where passengers can keep their luggage safe. The buses can park under the room before boarding, and that makes convenient for the passengers to get on the bus and their goods do not get drenched either while being loaded on the roof rack.

This is the busiest bus terminal in the whole of Bhutan and the way they manage to run the terminal without a hitch is worthy of praise. However, the country's largest bus terminal deserves to have better services and technologies to give passengers the best experience, which somehow is lacking. The whole ticketing system is still crudely manual and in the huge building there is not a proper passenger support centre. The basic and critical service like toilet is missing, and people have to walk quite a distance to use the city public toilet located outside the terminal fence.

Bhutanese style building but needs maintenance. There is a vegetable market close by and a river as well which almost dries up during the dry seasons. Buses to places within Bhutan and to Calcutta and Siliguri in India are available. Do not miss out on purchasing tickets in advance if you plan to travel as they get sold quick and you may get stranded. Standing passengers are not allowed in Bhutan so do book your seats!
