Good hotel under budget at Punakha (Bhutan), neat & clean room. Location is far from Market, tasty food is available in the Hotel. Visited there on January 2020.

Went to this place with my family on the recommendation of our guide and also based on past reviews and I must say I was terribly disappointed. They took over 1 hour to bring us food. We had clearly asked them to bring us anything that was ready as we were hungry, however they did not do that. When we finally decided that we had had enough (at 45 minutes) they said the soup was already ready, but they just had not brought it out and that we were not able to cancel the order and leave. They took 25 minutes (and 2 reminders) to bring us a glass of apple juice (from a bottle) and a glass of K5 whiskey. They did not warm that they did not have ice when I ordered the drink. One portion of the vegetables is small enough to only fit less than half a portion of rice. They also took an hour to serve us a plate of papad. The vegetable soup was too salty, the sushroom souo lacked pepper, and the tomato soup was too lumpy. They did not have pepper for the soup or ice for the drinks and this was also frustrating. We asked for lemons and onions and they only brought out onions. The food once it arrived tasted mediocre at best (we got the matar paneer and the mushroom, cheese, and chilly Bhutanese dish - can't recall the name). The restroom was also pretty dirty and lacked a usable soap. Definitely would not visit again and definitely suggest against visiting this terrible excuse for a restaurant.
