  Budget hotel. Cheap and good for passing the night. Run by young girls and teenagers and was nice to see them doing their best.

  Hotel Dechen is a wonderful place to stay if you are travelling in a budget. Pros: 1. The rooms are nice, spacious and well furnished. 2. The washroom is clean. 3. Geyser is provided with 24 hr running hot water. 4. 54" LED TVs are provided which telecast Indian channels. 5. The food is very well prepared and tastes exactly the same as in India. 6. The hotel will provide you with a car and a driver (according to your need), if you ask them. 7. 2 mins walk from the main highway. 8. The most important of all, the people at the hotel are very nice and friendly. They will take care of all your needs and will make sure that you have a great time at Thimphu. Cons: Didn't find any. (We were 5 people and stayed in a King Size room. We paid Rs. 2000 (Rs.1700 being the room rent and Rs. 300 for an extra mattress) per day).
