  I was walking down the street when I saw hospital that looked more like a hotel or resort. The building was modern and sleek. I was surprised to see that it was actually a hospital,as it didn't look anything like the other hospitals.

  The National Referral Hospital is the main hospital of Bhutan, located in the capital of Bhutan, Thimphu. The hospital has been supplying free basic medical treatment as well as advanced surgeries and emergency services to citizens from all over the country. But the hospital process is not so user-friendly. For a simple medical test I had to go to 3 days, because the revenue counter didn't properly tell the complete information. Also the resources are not adequate sometimes, so it's crowded during working houra.

  One of the biggest hospitals in Bhutan and provides almost all the health services to Bhutanese and foreign people at zero cost. Great service and staffs were very friendly. Only problem was to find a car parking spot and having to wait in queue as it is always crowded.

  This is an review for old complex. Bit cold for old and weak patients without internal heating system. The waiting benches and chairs are of steel which isn't good in winter.

  Big modern infrastructure but it can be made little friendly for Bhutanese.
