Mountain Cafe is one of the best Cafe I visited during my stay at Paro and I strongly recommend. Ambience is very pleasant and it is situated in the middle of the Down town which makes it easily accessible. There are lots of handicraft stores around, so once we complete the shopping this place is best to visit. The best part of this Cafe is even though the whole city goes to sleep sharp at 9pm, they stay back and serve food for the late comers like us. Menu is planned in such a way it is suitable for everyone having Bhutanese, Chines, Indian and Continental with hot and cold beverages as well. Food is served on time with a appetizing presentation and tastes yum. The open coffee machine tempts you to order and taste the freshly brewed coffee. Staffs are very polite, Customer Friendly and welcoming. To mention Ms. Leki Wangmo helped us to choose our dish and assured that we can take our time to enjoy the meal. We happened to visit to this place on both the days of our stay at Paro. Thank u Mountain Cafe for creating this memory to us and Kudos to the team.

It seemed like everyone had turned up here when I got there. The café was packed. I did manage to find a corner table up front, which offered a great view of the market area and I enjoyed my meal while watching the hustle-bustle outside. The ambience is lovely with wooden accents everywhere. They don't serve whole wheat or multigrain bread, so I opted for the only available sandwich, which was a veg cheese sandwich. I was happy when it turned up,though. The presentation was nice and it was served with a side of fries. It did take time as it was being freshly prepared. So,I wolfed down an eclair in the meantime. I was ravenously hungry after my hike to Tiger's Nest. They forgot to punch in my coffee order. Nevertheless, it was resolved quickly and I ended the meal with a chilled latté. This cute café is a must visit, especially if you are a caffeine lover like me!

Conveniently located in the heart of the beautiful town of Paro, this great eating joint is a must go to at least once during your visit. The beer was chilled and the food delicious. Decor is tasteful. The service was a tad slow, but one didn’t mind as we were there for a leisurely meal. At 1,000/- per head including liquor the meal was great value for money.
