  The owner and staff are very helpful and accommodating. We had a pleasant stay at beautiful Bumthang.

  Typically Bhutanese structure.... They have truly Antique items....Rooms are really big....

  Drinking water was not provided - gave 1 ltr bottle after we asked for it No electric kettle or complementary tea bags, No hand towels, No provision to hang your coat/clothes- not a single hook in bathroom or room. In bumthag there is nothing much to do after 6 in the evening. There is no television and wifi is also very poor. There's no way to kill your time if you are not traveling in a group. Moreover, the resort doesn't have any provision to entertain guests. We read in reviews that they can arrange for bonfire and show folk culture - but no such arrangements were made during our stay. No elevator. No intercom. If your room is on higher floors it becomes a task to get in touch with reception. Bathroom water has a peculiar smell and doesn't seem to be clean. On day 1, there was no water supply in the morning - some repair work was going on. We waited till 8:30 without any resolution. Later we were allowed to use a bathroom in another room where water supply was available. And half bucket of lukewarm water was given in each room. The staff is bit slow in accommodating requests. Food quantity is too less; we ordered 4 dal bowls - each bowl was filled less than half We had CP plan which includes breakfast. Buffet was not prepared because of low occupancy. For breakfast, we were given choice for only one item from 2 options - Alu Puri and Alu paratha. And all four of us needed to order the same thing! Again, we had to specify the quantity beforehand. Major issue - there is no one to address and resolve your complaints. The lady at the reception seems unwilling to make an effort to make your stay comfortable.

  Stayed here last October. Very good and clean and value for the money we pay. Owners are the managing team were very friendly as well. When I go back to Bhutan, will definitely spend here for few days.

  The manager Mr. Karma is the most helpful person I have ever came across yet. All the hotel staff were very gentle and helpful. The rooms are well decorated with colored lights which created an awesome ambiance on wooden architecture. The hotel premises is very big and the lawn is awesomely decorated. The view from room was splendid and pleasant for the eye. We had all our meals here during our stay and each and every dish was great. I can assure you, they will go out of the box to fulfill your needs. I’d say that of all the places we visited, we liked Bumthang more and it was specially due to the hospitality we received here.
