  Stopped at this place as our tour guide suggested. After staying in bhutan for 6 day i can confidently say that tour guide will take you to places where they have a commission at the restaurant. From all the places we went for lunch with our tour guide food was not good and highly priced. The first red flag about this restaurant is there is no price written in the menu and they charge as per costumer like different prices for Indian customers, different for Bhutanese and Other foreigners. When I asked why prices are not written the person at billing counter explained that as there are lot of people coming from tour guide packages, foreigners and other people they don’t write the price for that particular reason. I have ordered Indian thali, the thali was priced ₹250. The thali was not working ₹100 in bhutan. The food was not at all ap per Indian taste. They served local Red rice and 3 different “Sabji” served was not Indian taste. I think they just added chapati with bhutanese thali and served. All these restaurants are doing business because their tour guide will take them. They have no quality standards and taste.

  Never visit the hotel. They are only looting customers. Food quality is also not good. A bone found in vegetarian customer's dish. Rude way of talking.

  Location: Located on the main road from Phuentsholing to Paro. Can easily locate from main road. Excellent view is available from the back side of restaurant. Seating Capacity: Only limited seating is available here. Outside seating is also available. Food: Food was good. Buffet was available. Both, veg and non veg food available. Staff: Staff was very cooperative and helpful Washrooms: Basic washrooms are available. No western toilets available. Overall, good option for lunch

  Nice spot to stop on the way up to Thimphu after Gedu. Location is nice with the verandas overlooking the beautiful valley. I had stopped for breakfast and the same old menu available in every wayside restaurant in Bhutan. I asked for a napkin and they gave me toilet paper. Everyone in the restaurant was busy including the owner, didn’t care much for a stranger customer. Hope the service will improve.

  This Restaurant & Lodge is in between Gedu and Wangkha/Chukha about 65 Km from Phuntsholing on P/Ling High Way at Makai Bari.The name must have been derived from its location site as no Restaurants or hotel are found in this stretch. The Restaurant is newly constructed and operational since not very long time. The design and set up is pretty attractive for customers. You can see flowers 💐 stand on the entrance and nicely hung flower pots with various flowers. The cabin is standard with glass over viewing the highway and beautiful downhill forest view and the farmland below the building. The veranda cabin is awesome with wood log chairs and a table. There is also one inside cabin with cosy cushions. The wash basin looks good with the small transparent roof sheet. The lodge rooms are on ground floor below the road level as the building is constructed over the slopy area. Thus, one has to walk down the stairs case to reach the rooms. The rooms are quite small with congested toilet/bath room but can serve your purpose for a night stay. The public toilets for the customers on the subway are good enough with sufficient water supply. The drivers mostly stay over when they have to travel with goods from pling at nights. The owner has a plan to come up with Karokae space too. You can drop by when you are traveling to Thimphu or Pling. Staffs are friendly and treat you with hospitality.
