  This was the most horrible hotel in entire Bhutan, it was freezing, we didn’t have water in our room, later they gave us just a bucket, later during dinner, they refused to take orders off the menu, Huge confusion when we placed the order, Bhutan is a beautiful and peaceful country, but this hotel gave us a bad impression about the entire country, I don’t recommend this place for any traveler

  The property is located in Phobjika valley, about 3 hours drive from Punakha. The drive is uphill, scenic. The approach road to this hotel or lodge (that's better word) is very narrow, one need to drive through the countryside. The exterior is not very appealing. Rooms are nice , decent in size. Almost all rooms offer farm view and the Phobjika valley. Staff is hospitable, food served was decent. One can't expect lavish menu at such remote place. The property in Punakha is very luxurious, one should not have same expectations here. Most people would stay 1 night at this place, but people like who do nothing on their holiday or just wandering in the nature , reading books, listening good music etc can be the only activity. During winter the migratory bird Black Necked Cranes is prime attraction..amazing birds which can be seen at Phobjika valley.
