  Nice hotel in Jakar, Bumthang. Stayed for 2 nights in December 2019. Good food, good rooms, good decor. Going by the Bumthang rules, they do not have electric heaters but provide wood for natural heating, this may not be very sufficient if you are visiting in peak winters. Good parking space as well. WiFi is there in many places but sometimes very slow.

  Very nice and clean hotel. Great location, just a 15 minute walk to town. Great hikes close by also. Wi-Fi definitely above average for Bhutan, even in the room. Food was also good. There's one electric heater to heat the whole room. No heat in the bathroom makes it a little chilly in there. There's apparently a 7-8 liter hot water tank, so for 2 people, you need to keep it short. Overall a pleasant experience and would recommend the Bumthang Mountain Lodge.

  Newly built and "modern" by Bhutanese standards. Huge room, quiet area and a friendly staff. Let us keep our bags in the same room over a 3 day trek (shoulder season) and said "did you enjoy your trek?" Meeting us with the room key.
