  This is a place that goes above and beyond what you pay for, both as a hotel and a restaurant. The host Tshering is both extremely professional, and very warm and welcoming - he and his family made us feel less like hotel clients and more like guests in their home. The rooms are cozy and very well maintained. The food is great while being modestly priced. And the place in general has a trendy ambient vibe. We had a wonderful stay - thanks Tshering. 10/10 would stay again

  Samdan is a small but cozy hotel in the heart of Paro city. Very close to the necessary things like Taxi stand, bus station, Shops (to have a stroll after your daily sightseeing), Paro Airport and yes to the Paro Dzong too. One can take a walk to enjoy the beautiful view of Paro Dzong in the evening and at night too. Best stays so far, we welcomed with the local peach wine and cozy room with the view of Paro Dzong, hot water;). lovely restaurant and a small Bar to add on. Despite being called a Hotel it's like a homestay. We were there like home. Every evening I used to have a chit chat with Tshering. He is very friendly. Very homely feel. Tshering is a very kind and nice person, very soft-spoken, Creative, attentive and helping. His mom made a super delicious food especially momos. Thanks, Tshering for accompanying me for the morning walk to see the Paro Dzong view from the confluence of Pachu and Mochu river. I must say it's a great place to stay ion Paro.

  Keeping it short "The stay at Samden hotel was very pleasant and the food was heaven both Bhutanese and Indian cuisines. It has all the required amenities and most importantly the owner Mr. Tshering and his family are the perfect epitome of bhutanese culture." Highly recommended!!!!!

  Nice place, next to the market, walking distance from the Dzong and Taxi stand Since Paro is a small town, the hotel is not very far from the centre of the town. Only 3 rooms are available, of which only one has a double bed. Rooms are a bit cramped though. The host is very helpful and prompt Food was scrumptious and very reasonably priced. Good if you are travelling with friends and on a budget.

  Stayed for a couple of days with my friends when we visited Paro in May. Tshering is a wonderful host who runs the place with his family and it felt like family when I stayed there. They cook wonderful food, offer decent place to stay and provide ambience that cannot be matched elsewhere. Most importantly doesn't function like a typical hotel where it is a chore to serve people. Will highly recommend anyone who want a great experience and not just another hotel to stay in Paro.
