  Happiest place on earth…of course Bhutan on the list then! Unfortunately, I got sick when I landed in india so couldn’t do any of the excursions to truly see Bhutan. I did some local walks close to the hotel and really enjoyed the quiet and serene beauty here. Great place to stay. Wish the food spread was amazing too..it was nice but just that.

  The TAJ experience started well before our check-in at the hotel with prior confirmation about our visit so that proper arrangements could be made. From check-in to blessings to WiFi to dressing us in the Bhutanese attire (Gyo (Male) and Kira (Female)), the lady (name starts with Ts, sorry I could remember her name properly) at the front desk made everything possible to make our stay comfortable. A big thanks to her. The culture program was great. The icing on the cake was done by the head chef from Amritsar, India, Mr. Rajinder Sareen for having spend time with us during our dinner and doing a chit chat and he made our dinning experience a memorable one. Thank you, Rajinder Ji. Hope to see you again sometime soon. Thank you to the Taj team for creating such delightful experiences.

  What a great property and great place to stay at. Bhutan is such a lovely and peaceful country, do visit this beautiful country and stay at this property at capital city Thimphu whenever you get the chance. ♥️

With rooms that are both spacious and luxurious, our stays have been a truly indulgent experience. The comfort and size of the rooms have consistently impressed us, making our annual returns to Taj Tashi a highlight of our year. The attention to detail and creativity that has gone into the design of these rooms never fails to amaze us, ensuring that our stay is not only luxurious, but also an unforgettable experience.

  If you want to be pampered and treated like a king, and queen, Taj Tashi Hotel in Thimphu is the place to stay. The traditional Bhutanese design and surrounding garden grounds are a quiet sanctuary. What makes this hotel par- excellence is the staff, everyone goes out of their way to get to know you, to check on how you are doing, to offer opportunities to explore more of their culture. On our first night, we were able to dress in traditional Bhutanese garb, attend a beautiful dance performance, and participate, then have dinner. Their strength is focusing on the smallest details. They noticed it was my husband’s birthday while we were staying here and surprised him with a decorated room and birthday cake. We were able to use the spa, the hot rock bath is unique to Bhutan and offered a wonderful respite from all of the hiking. Every member of the staff from the front door greeter to the restaurants, to the front desk, to housekeeping are fantastic, if only we had this much grace and care where we live. Tika Ram, the duty manager was leading the charge and is a fantastic man, he was on top of everything.
